The PATA Malaysia HELP University Student Chapter (PATAMHUSC) successfully conducted an international study tour to the PATA British University Vietnam (BUV) Student Chapter, marking a meaningful step towards strengthening regional collaboration among future tourism professionals.
The visit reflects PATAMHUSC’s ongoing commitment to building stronger connections within the Asia-Pacific tourism community. By engaging directly with the PATA BUV Student Chapter, the initiative reinforced the importance of cross-border collaboration, knowledge exchange, and global perspectives in shaping the next generation of industry leaders.
The programme provided students with valuable opportunities to engage, learn, and connect through a series of structured activities. Both chapters delivered presentations introducing their respective organisations, highlighting key initiatives, chapter structures, and insights into their local tourism landscapes. This knowledge-sharing session allowed participants to gain a broader understanding of how tourism operates across different cultural and economic contexts.
The visit also facilitated a dynamic cross-cultural exchange, where students engaged in open discussions about their academic journeys, career aspirations, and perspectives on the evolving tourism industry. These conversations encouraged mutual learning while fostering greater cultural awareness and appreciation.
A dedicated networking session, held during a tea break, further strengthened interactions between participants. Students had the opportunity to build meaningful personal and professional connections, laying the foundation for potential future collaborations and joint initiatives between the two chapters.
The visit concluded with a formal exchange of tokens of appreciation, symbolising the growing partnership and shared commitment to collaboration between PATAMHUSC and the PATA BUV Student Chapter.
Through initiatives such as this, PATAMHUSC continues to play an active role in cultivating globally minded graduates who are equipped with the knowledge, networks, and cultural understanding needed to thrive in the international tourism landscape.
