Overview

The Master in Communication and Creative Industries is designed for aspiring leaders, strategists, content creators and industry professionals who want to advance their expertise in communication, media and the creative sectors.

The programme equips students with advanced knowledge, critical insight and practical skills to navigate changing media landscapes, digital transformation, branding, content production, audience engagement and creative industry development.

Through a research-informed and practice oriented approach, students will learn to apply communication theories, creative strategies and emerging technologies to address real-world challenges in local, regional and global contexts.

Applicants must fulfil one of the following:

  • Entry Requirements

    • A Bachelor’s degree, Level 6 MQF, in Media and Communication with a minimum CGPA of 2.50, as accepted by the HEP Senate; or
    • A Bachelor’s degree, Level 6 MQF, in Media and Communication with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 but below 2.50, subject to rigorous internal assessment; or
    • Any other Bachelor’s degree, Level 6 MQF, in a non-Media and Communication field with a minimum CGPA of 2.00, subject to rigorous internal assessment and prerequisite courses determined by the HEP; or
    • Other qualifications equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree, Level 6 MQF, in Media and Communication or related fields recognised by the Government of Malaysia, subject to rigorous internal assessment.
  • English Competency Requirement for International Students

  • International applicants must meet the English language requirement of MUET Band 4, CEFR Mid B2, IELTS 6.0 or an equivalent qualification.
