In December 2024, Professor Dr. R. Logeswaran, Dean of the Faculty of Computing and Digital Technology, HELP University, Malaysia, proudly carried the HELP University banner to India, participating in several significant academic and research-focused events. His visit highlighted HELP University’s commitment to advancing global collaborations and fostering innovation in education and technology.
At Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College in Bidar, Professor Logeswaran was honoured as the keynote speaker at the 3-day International Workshop on Recent Trends in AI, Robotics, and Machine Learning 2024 held from 11th to 13th of December. His keynote address, “Emerging Synergies Between AI, Robotics, and Machine Learning: Challenges and Opportunities,” provided a deep dive into the latest advancements and future prospects in these transformative fields.
In addition to the keynote, he delivered two engaging talks at the workshop:
- Data Science & Big Data: Fundamentals & Opportunities
- AI in Education
The workshop served as a global platform for researchers, academicians, and industry experts to explore cutting-edge research and real-world applications in AI, robotics, and machine learning. Participants examined how these technologies are revolutionising industries such as healthcare, finance, manufacturing, and automation, while addressing pressing challenges and fostering collaborations between academia and industry.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between HELP University and Shri Vithal Education & Research Institute (SVERI)’s Engineering College, Pandharpur, was signed in advance by the Vice Chancellor of HELP University, Professor Dr. Liew Teik Kooi (Andy), who was unable to attend the ceremony. Representing HELP University at the event, Professor Logeswaran acted on his behalf and witnessed the formal exchange of the agreement. This partnership aims to strengthen academic and research exchanges, with a focus on leveraging advanced technologies to address societal challenges.
Continuing his impactful visit, Professor Logeswaran served as the plenary speaker at the 5th International Conference on Advanced Technologies for Societal Applications (Techno-Societal 2024), held on 13 and 14 December 2024. Organised by SVERI and PAH Solapur University under the PM-UShA Grant, the conference brought together global experts to address societal challenges through technology.
In his plenary address, Professor Logeswaran emphasised the role of emerging technologies in solving real-world problems of underprivileged groups, particularly in areas such as rural development, healthcare, and education. The Techno-Societal conference, with its rich history of collaboration and innovation, provided a platform for researchers from around the world to share groundbreaking ideas and discuss the responsible use of technology to improve lives.
Professor Logeswaran’s engagements in India showcased HELP University’s leadership in global academic excellence and innovation. His participation not only amplified HELP University’s reputation as a leader in education and technology but also strengthened its international collaborations. His efforts exemplify HELP University’s commitment to leveraging technology to address global challenges.
