Study Awards & Fee Waivers

HELP has awarded many Study Awards and Fee Waivers to academically inclined Malaysian and International Students who display leadership qualities. You could be one of them!

HELP Study Awards and Fee Waivers 2024

As study awards are limited and competitive, only candidates who meet the minimum criteria specified are eligible to apply for the award committee’s due consideration. Meeting the minimum criteria does not guarantee the applicants a study award. Students are only entitled to one award at any time.

Since its establishment in 1986, HELP has awarded many study awards to encourage Malaysians and international students who demonstrate academic excellence and display leadership qualities to pursue their tertiary education at the university. Many of these recipients have completed their courses and have embarked on successful careers.

HELP welcomes both new and continuing students who are high achievers to apply for study awards.

FULL AND PARTIAL STUDY AWARDS

If you meet the minimum criteria stated, you are required to do the following:

1. Complete a HELP Study Awards Application Form and attach certified transcripts of your academic results.

2. New students are required to submit a HELP Application Form to apply for the chosen programme and pay the Student Application Fee before submitting the study award application form.

3. New students will submit the respective forms and attachments to the study award officer in the Registry before the specified deadline. Late applications will not be considered for selection.

4. For consideration by the study award committee in May and October of each year, study awards applicants must be registered students of HELP University or HELP Academy. Your form will be forwarded to the study award committee for consideration when the Committee meets in May and October.

5. The decisions of the study award committee will be announced by the third week of May and October and are not subject to appeal.

Elena Cooke Education Fund

The Elena Cooke Education Fund (ECEF) was set up in honour of the late Miss Elena Cooke, the longest serving principal of the Bukit Bintang Girls’ School.

The fund aims to help underprivileged young people, whether they live with their families or were raised in children’s homes and orphanages, to pursue quality education after SPM in local colleges or universities.

SPM (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia), STPM (Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia) and UEC (Unified Examination Certificate) students who have received their examination results are invited to apply for financial assistance via the HELP-Elena Cooke Education Fund (HELP-ECEF) Study Award.

This is a need-based Study Award which is a collaboration between HELP and ECEF.

This financial assistance is only available to Malaysian citizens.
