Senior Lecturer

Thivyasreena, who is a Senior Lecturer, is currently the Programme Leader for MUET Preparatory Course (MPC) at HELP University. Apart from that, she is also the Academic Head for the Korean Mobility Programme. She has been serving and growing professionally in the field of education in the last 15 years. She has held many administrative roles in her past workplaces as well as in the current place. With a First Class Degree in Tesl and Masters from University of Malaya, she has contributed to the field of education by nurturing and inspiring many students and individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds to learn and master English Language skills and other aspects of education. 

 She has served as a language teacher at international schools, a private college and two established universities. At present, she is serving the Department of English in HELP University. She teaches on the Bachelor of Education (TESL) and MUET Preparatory Courses. Her broad scope of experience includes writing for websites, hosting events and talks, coordinating and executing events, marketing activities, planning of language courses, promotion and implementation of Outcome-based education, project management, syllabus and curriculum planning and many others. Her pedagogical practices have always been geared towards creative, innovative and student-centric approaches. She has high team spirit and often seeks for challenges and opportunities to grow.

Besides educating others, she has also been appointed in the past as the Internal Auditor for ISO purposes by HELP University. This experience had ignited her passion for education management and policy planning. She continued to pursue her passion in these areas by becoming part of the academic board and continuing her postgraduate studies in the similar field. 

Her research interest grew whilst doing her Masters studies and has currently been working on innovative ideas for the 21st century teaching and learning to further contribute to the world of education. She has grown fond of conducting research in the field of education to discover and learn new information to be competitive and knowledgeable in this digitalised era. The knowledge-sharing interest didn’t just stop at doing research and reporting but,  it has also put her under the limelight when she was invited as a Speaker for an Educational Dialogue at the Malaysian Institute of Economic Research (MIER). Thivyasreena, is courageous to dive into new possibilities and thrives hard to achieve success in everything she undertakes. With a stern face but a loving heart, she is ready to serve you with all her might.
