Leon is a well-established hospitality and tourism personal, equipped with knowledge and experience in both academia and the professional sphere. He is specialised in the field of Hospitality Service Operations and Management.
Holding a Master of Science in Business with Hospitality and Tourism Management from Northumbria University, UK, and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in International Tourism and Hospitality Management from the University of Sunderland, UK, Leon’s academic background is solidified by practical insights gained through years of industry immersion.
Prior to his academic endeavours, Leon honed his craft in various prestigious hospitality establishments and various assigned VIP attachments. Notably, his tenure as Front Office Assistant Manager and Duty Manager- Rooms Division at Grand Hyatt Kuala Lumpur showcased his prowess in operational management and guest relations. Leon’s journey in hospitality extends across continents, with impactful roles in the UK and Brunei. His contributions were marked by a commitment to excellence, evidenced by demonstrating a keen understanding of guest service, operational efficiency, and team leadership.
Leon was attached with other educational institution, serving as the Programme Coordinator for the Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism Management program and a Lecturer which also covers the Bachelor’s programme. Tasked with overseeing program development and ensuring adherence to quality standards, Leon’s leadership has been instrumental in shaping the next generation of hospitality professionals.
