Selvanadan
Mr. M Selvanadan obtained his Pre-University Certificate from the American College in South India and graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce in Advanced Accounting and Auditing from the University of Madras. In 1979, he obtained his professional CIMA qualification. He graduated with an MBA from Hull in 1993. His dissertation for the MBA was on “Hostile Takeovers: Creating Defence Strategies for Vulnerable Companies”.
From 1973 to 1995, he held the positions of lecturer, senior lecturer, head of department and Dean at four private education institutions in Kuala Lumpur before he joined Middlesex University in the United Kingdom from 1995 to 1996 as a research staff and part-time lecturer. He also participated in the Research Methodology Seminar and Workshop organised by the Running Focus Group-Cranfield School of Management in the UK. Additionally, he had been facilitator for accounting and finance modules of the Charles Sturt University MBA at delivery centres in the South and East Asian region. Mr Selvanadan conducted several seminars and participated in conferences organized by the public and private sectors such as BERNAS, TELEKOMS and Bumiputera Securities and Funds Management.
Presently, from 1996 till now, he is a senior lecturer in Department of Accounting and Finance of the Faculty of Business, Economics and Accounting of HELP University.
Mr. Selvanadan is engaged in the teaching of undergraduate courses of HELP University. He has also taught in the University of East London and the Charles Sturt University programmes. He is a senior facilitator for the Business Accounting and Finance subject of the HELP MBA and CSU Master programmes.
In 2019, as a senior member of the Chartered Management Institute he was invited into the Fellow membership of the chartered professional body in the UK dedicated to management and leadership.
