Professor Dr. Zhengkai Sun

Prof. Dr. Zhengkai Sun holds a PhD in Educational Technology from Lyceum of the Philippines University and a Master’s degree in Signal and Information Processing from Jiangxi Science and Technology Normal University. He currently serves as Vice President and Professor at Nanchang Institute of Technology, where he is also recognised as a Senior Dual-Qualified Professional and serves as a postgraduate master’s supervisor. With more than two decades of experience in higher education, Professor Sun has developed extensive expertise in university teaching, research, academic discipline development, postgraduate programme development, and teaching quality management.

His teaching and academic expertise encompasses Advanced Machine Learning, Network Security and Cryptography, and Ethics and Cybersecurity. His research interests focus on machine learning, intelligent signal processing, feature extraction, and communication networks. He has published more than 20 academic papers and has led or participated in 16 provincial- and ministerial-level research projects, demonstrating sustained contributions to research and technological development.

Prof. Dr. Sun is also committed to enhancing students’ practical and problem-solving capabilities through project-driven education. In particular, he has supervised student teams that have achieved six First Prizes in provincial-level electronic design competitions. His teaching approach integrates theoretical knowledge with practical applications and project-based learning, enabling students to develop the capacity to address complex engineering problems and strengthen their professional competencies.
