Professor Dr. Shuhua Bai

Prof. Dr. Shuhua Bai holds a PhD in Teaching and Curriculum Theory (Information Technology) from Philippine Christian University and is currently undertaking postdoctoral research in Artificial Intelligence in Hong Kong. He serves as Director of the Office of Scientific Research and Professor at Nanchang Institute of Technology, where he is also a postgraduate Master’s Supervisor. He is recognised as a Category E High-Level Talent of Jiangxi Province and has nearly two decades of experience in university teaching, research, and academic research management.

His teaching and academic expertise encompasses Deep Learning for Computer Vision, Advanced Machine Learning, and Applied Programming. His research interests focus on image processing and recognition, computer vision, deep learning, and multi-agent intelligent systems. Professor Bai has led and contributed to multiple national-level, provincial-level, and university–industry collaborative research projects. He has published extensively in SCI- and EI-indexed academic journals and holds nine granted invention patents, demonstrating sustained contributions to research and technological innovation.

Prof. Dr. Bai is committed to translating research outcomes into high-quality teaching resources and practical learning experiences. By integrating research findings with curriculum development and project-based learning, he seeks to strengthen students’ engineering practice, problem-solving, and innovation capabilities, while preparing them to address emerging challenges in artificial intelligence and intelligent technologies.
