Professor Dr Lee Chee Leong

Professor Lee possesses extensive academic leadership, research excellence, and industry experience under his belt. He holds a BSc (Hons.) from Universiti Sains Malaysia (ranked first), a Master of Engineering from the National University of Singapore, and a PhD from the University of Strathclyde, supported by prestigious scholarships. His academic training built a strong foundation in computational thinking and engineering.

Previously, he served as Associate Professor and Deputy Dean at Wawasan Open University, and Assistant Professor and Head of Department at Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman. He also gained industry experience as a Process Engineer at Agilent Technologies, Singapore.

His research covers photonics, semiconductor devices, and AI optimisation. He has published widely, secured research grants, supervised postgraduate students, and co-invented internationally licensed patents. Professor Lee is committed to advancing teaching, research, and academic excellence within the faculty and university.
