Hasmiza Idris

Hasmiza Idris is a distinguished senior lecturer at the Center for General Studies and MPU with a profound dedication to education and multi-diversity studies. She obtained her first degree in Arts (Hons) from University of Malaya and a master’s degree in Anthropology and Sociology from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), enriching her expertise in understanding the complex dynamics of societies.

She lectures on Philosophy and Current Issues and Appreciation of Ethics and Civilization. Her teaching approach not only impacts knowledge but also encourage critical thinking and ethical reflection among her students.

Hasmiza is also a committee member of the Malaysian Association of Education, Philosophy and Thinking. In this role, she collaborates with other educators and scholars to advance the study and teaching of philosophy and critical thinking in Malaysia. With 19 years of teaching experience, Hasmiza has made significant contributions to the academic community.
