Tutor
Goh Yong Jian
Yong Jian is currently a Tutor at the Department of Psychology, Faculty of Behavioural Sciences at HELP University. He conducts tutorials and consultations for students on a wide range of topics in psychological concepts and quantitative methods. He also offers constructive feedback on the students’ written works on the abovementioned topics. In addition, he supports multiple lecturers in administrative work for various undergraduate level subjects. With years of training in academic research, and practical experience accumulated from prior academic tutoring stints and volunteering for a non-governmental organisation, he possesses relevant knowledge and skills in providing academic support and evaluation to students in an effective and interactive manner. He is enthusiastic about educating the next generation of psychology graduates and harboured hopes of making a significant impact on psychological research in Malaysia. He is open to research opportunities on reasoning and decision-making under uncertainty, quantitative methods, and metascience. When he is not tutoring students or assisting lecturers in administrative work, he can be found engaging in solitary reading or exploring various places around Klang Valley. He graduated with first-class honours for his Bachelor of Psychology degree from HELP University in 2018.
