Gobein is a dynamic hospitality and tourism professional with over 20 years of experience in the industry with invaluable experience, characterized by visionary leadership, adaptability, and a steadfast commitment to advancement. He is specialised in the field of Food and Beverage Services, Operations and Management.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in hospitality and tourism, a master’s in business administration (MBA), HRDF TTT trainer certificate and Food and Beverage VTO certificate. He has a keen interest and passion in food and beverage and hospitality management issues and matters. He has published research journal on these topics; besides this he was also a two-time recipient of university scholarly activity seeding grants (SASG) in the year 2019 and 2020 awarded for research purpose.
As a Senior Lecturer at HELP UNIVERSITY, he has a proven track record in teaching and leading programs in hospitality and tourism, food and beverage operations and management, Event management, customer service, and Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET), prior to this he was attached with other educational institution and hotel Industry, including a pre-opening experience of Hospitality School and Hotel Restaurant.
As the current Deputy President for the Malaysian Food & Beverage Executives Association (M.F.B.E.A), He is committed in enhancing the standards and raising the image of the industry and its professionals. He has successfully executed Food Hotel Malaysia/ Malaysia Culinaire 2019, 2022 and 2023 as an Assistant Chairman and Food and beverage competitions Chairman and as an Advisor respectively.
Currently, he has been appointed as a member under the sectorial training committee (STC) -Hospitality under HRDFcorp in assisting the development of Industrial Skills Framework (IndSF) document, providing strategic inputs on certification programs and priority areas.
