Senior Lecturer
Giselle Wong
Giselle’s primary focus is on higher education, but she is all-over-the-place curious about the intersections between Psychology, Education, and Philosophy. She is typically found working on projects to do with meaningful learning design and assessments, challenging epistemic beliefs, or trying to weave her personal and professional interests in stories and storytelling into various educational experiences. Giselle also has a keen interest in cultural-historical and existential-humanistic perspectives toward understanding human psychology, being most excited about interdisciplinary work. She obtained her Bachelor of Psychology degree with HELP University, during which she completed a thesis on reading stories and values, presenting her research during the 2016 International Congress of Psychology. She subsequently graduated from McGill University, Canada with a Master of General Educational Psychology. Currently, she teaches courses on education, philosophy, and quantitative and qualitative methodologies. A scholar-educator in progress, Giselle hopes to further the notions of meaning and community within teaching-learning encounters.
