Dr Tong Chue Qun

Dr Tong Chue Qun is a Senior Lecturer with over two decades of experience in both academia and industry. She is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA) and brings a strong blend of academic knowledge and practical expertise into her teaching. Prior to and alongside her academic career, she has held senior finance roles, including serving as a Finance Manager, where she was responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, tax planning, and financial analysis. She also has experience in corporate reporting within a public listed company, where she was involved in quarterly financial reporting, preparation of annual reports, and consolidated group accounts. Her industry exposure enhances her ability to deliver practice-oriented learning and engage students with real-world applications. Dr Tong holds a PhD in Accounting, a Master’s degree in Accounting, and a Bachelor of Accountancy (First Class Honours). Her research interests include Financial Accounting, Corporate Governance, Earnings Management, Financial Reporting, and Accounting Information Systems. She is passionate about blending academic theory with practical industry insights to develop future professionals and scholars in the field.
