Senior Lecturer

Dr.Sridevi  is currently attached to the Economics Department of the Business Faculty in HELP. She has been in HELP for the last for the last 13 odd years and seen many success stories among her students from promising job opportunities within and abroad.

Prior to joining HELP, she was an economics Lead lecturer for the RMIT and CURTIN University, Australia in a twining program with a local based institution She served in this capacity for a good 20 years and describes it as the best years of teaching and learning experiences.

Against some personal setbacks faced in life, she rose to obtain her PHD degree from the University Tuanku Abdul Rahman in a contemporary thesis entitled “FDI in the face of challenges of good governance”.

Among others she is passionate in research areas on good governance, anti- corruption and the Rule of Law.

She is also a social activist and tries to bring education empowerment among the less -fortunate and battered women. A strong believer in the Cow doesn’t give milk, she advocates self -determination, in every pursuit in life regardless the odds to achieve success. A proud single mother with 2 girls who have done very well for themselves by themselves with just a guiding hand of a dedicated, practical mother.

Although now in the senior ages, she looks forward to contributing her time and energy 

To serve and contribute towards the well- being of society as a whole.
