Senior Lecturer

Dr. Safiah Rashid, currently serves as the Senior Lecturer at Help University has vast experience in lecturing having taught various Management, Economics and Psychology subjects at Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels. She holds an Honours Degree in Economics and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Lakehead University, Ontario, Canada and Master of Business Administration from Universiti Tun Abdul Razak and later awarded Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) by Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM). She gained a recognition as a Certified Trainer for HRDF Malaysia. Dr. Safiah is a dedicated and enthusiastic academician which todate has accumulated 30 years of working experience in lecturing, supervising as well as in the administrative area related to academic matters in higher education institutions in Malaysia. She gained tremendous and valuable experience lecturing both local and international students. Furthermore, she has also taught Government personnels of various rankings particularly from the Malaysian Armed Forces and Royal Malaysia Police. Besides teaching, she is also involved in supervising thesis for Bachelor and Postgraduate students, including having supervised postgraduate students from the Arab Open University (AOU), Kingdom of Bahrain. She was appointed as the panel of examiner for postgraduate thesis proposal defense and undergraduate final year project.  Throughout her employment tenure, she has held various administrative positions such as Head of Department (Management),  Postgraduate Programmes Coordinator, Lead Internal Auditor, Diploma Program Coordinator, Industrial Training and International Students Coordinator, Pre-Matriculation Coordinator, and Acting Head of Unit Curriculum and Quality Development Department. She is passionate in contributing to the community through voluntary work at the ACADEMY of Ibadah Friendly Hospital (IFH). In addition, she is a member of Malaysia Economic Association (MEA) and Case Writer’s Association of Malaysia (CWAM).  Dr. Safiah also has developed interest in the area of research and has published articles in several journals.
