Dr Ng Poh Yoke
Dr. Ng’s journey commenced in 2003 when she embarked on her professional odyssey in the preschool industry, assuming the role of an administrator. Her innate dedication propelled her to the position of Vice Principal within a year. Driven by a passion for innovative pedagogy, Dr. Ng pursued further academic endeavours to enhance her skills and knowledge. In 2007, she undertook an International Diploma in Montessori Pedagogy from Segi University. Subsequently, she pursued a Master of Education degree in 2010, where she delved into research focusing on language acquisition using the Montessori Approach. In 2013, she assumed the pivotal position of Head of Kindergarten in a private institution, where she spearheaded innovative educational initiatives and fostered a culture of excellence. She pursued a Doctorate in Education in 2014, specializing in Educational Management and her focus was on Preschool Management. In 2019, Dr. Ng transitioned to tertiary education, joining Help University as a Lecturer. At Help University, she lectures on a diverse range of early childhood and education courses. In 2020, she was appointed as the Apel (C) co-ordinator. Subsequently, she assumed the role of Programme Leader for Bachelor of Early Childhood Education in 2021, where she played a pivotal role in curriculum development and academic oversight. In 2022, Dr. Ng was appointed as the Programme Leader for ODL and internal assessor for APEL-Q (MEd Teaching & Learning).
From her humble beginnings in the preschool industry to her current role as a Senior Lecturer at Help University, she has consistently demonstrated a commitment to excellence, innovation, and leadership.
