Dr Monica Selvaraja

Monica Selvaraja is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Accounting and Finance
within the Faculty of Business. With 13 years of experience, Monica serves as a course leader
for various finance subjects. Her role as an educator spans across diverse subjects such as
Business Finance, Corporate Finance, Technical Analysis, Financial Technology, and others,
showcasing her versatility in teaching. Apart from her academic teaching responsibilities, she
also holds the position of Internship Coordinator for the Faculty of Business. Monica’s
previous affiliations with private universities across Malaysia, including UCIS University and
UTAR (University Tunku Abdul Rahman), underscore her extensive teaching experience. Her
passion for teaching and research is the driving force in her life. Monica’s research interests
primarily focus on Behavioral Finance and Economics topics related to financial planning,
Financial Technology, and ESG. She obtained her PhD in Business Economics from Universiti
Putra Malaysia in 2022 and holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA), a Bachelor’s
Degree (Hons) in Finance, and a Diploma in Finance from Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN).
