Professor Chung had industry experience in the following areas of Regulatory, Corporate, Consulting and Academia. A PhD in finance from Universiti Putra Malaysia with more than 30 years of industry experience Bank Negara, Securities Commission, SOCSO, investment banks, and in academia teaching and supervision.

His publications on finance and economics have been published in scholarly journals and book chapters and comments in daily newspaper. He has served in the past as an independent member of Market Participants Committee of Bursa Malaysia, member of RAM Rating Committee and undertaken consulting work for Malaysia Tax Foundation, Rating Agency Malaysia (RAM), Securities Commission, World Bank, and Government of Malaysia.

His interest is in computational financial economics with a primary focus on financial inclusion, fintech, financial literacy and modelling of financial systems with artificial intelligence and block-chain as secondary focus.
