Dr Boo Huey Chern

Dr. Boo has over twenty years of academic and industry experience. With an international background rooted in degrees from Malaysia and the United States, she has held leadership roles across Singapore, Canada, and the USA. Her professional portfolio includes serving as Executive Director of a Singaporean firm, Managing Director of a restaurant, and project consultant for numerous prominent organizations. She is also a Certified Hotel Industry Analytics and Certified Scrum Master.

Since entering academia, Dr. Boo has taught across postgraduate, undergraduate, and diploma levels, covering a wide range of business and hospitality management subjects, including Hotel Project Management, Revenue Management, Quality and Customer Service, Operations Management, and Research Methodology. An accomplished researcher, she has secured over 20 grants and supervised more than 20 postgraduate students. Her prolific scholarly output includes 11 books/book chapters, 11 commissioned industry reports, 49 peer-reviewed journal articles (15 in Q1-ranked journals), and more than 60 conference papers (3 best paper awards).
