Chew Phye Ken

Lecturer

Mr Chew Phye Ken (or Ken) is a lecturer with the Faculty of Law and Government at HELP University. He has extensive lecturing and tutoring experience (spanning more than 19 years), having lectured across different levels (foundation, A-Level, undergraduate). He also has experience teaching different subjects across three legal jurisdictions (Malaysian, English and Australian), and is the current Staff Advisor of the HELP University Law Society.

Ken graduated with a first-class honours law degree (LLB; Thames Valley University; now known as the University of West London), has an LLM (Master of Laws from Universiti Malaya), and has been called to the Malaysian Bar as an Advocate and Solicitor (although he did not practice). His interests include the Law of Contract, the Law of Tort, the English language (in general), and writing fiction.

Besides academia, Ken holds editorial experience, having worked for the Malayan Law Journal (law reports) for about four years prior to lecturing, and has been involved in editing two textbooks as a freelancer with another publisher.
