Belinda Ting Ya Mei is a dedicated academic with a profound passion for the Malay language and Malaysian culture. With over 16 years of experience in higher education, she has been instrumental in fostering a deep appreciation for the Malay language among both local and international students.

Her academic journey began with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology and Sociology, with a minor in Malay Language, which laid the groundwork for her specialization in Malay studies. She furthered her expertise by earning a Master of Malay Studies, focusing on the intricacies of the Malay language.

Since joining HELP University in 2008, Belinda has been attached to the Centre of General Studies and MPU. As a senior lecturer, she has developed and delivered comprehensive curriculum designed to help local and international students achieve fluency in Malay, emphasizing practical language use in daily life. Her teaching methodology integrates cultural insights with language learning, ensuring that students not only master the language but also appreciate the rich cultural heritage of Malaysia.

Belinda’s commitment to education extends beyond the classroom.
