Balvinder Kaur
Balvinder Kaur is currently a lecturer and programme leader for the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education at the Education Department of HELP University, Subang 2. With 18 years of experience in the education industry, Balvinder plays a remarkable role in teaching, guiding and shaping the future graduates from HELP University in the Education Department. Her experience in various teaching and learning industries both public and private, sharing knowledge with 3-year-old children up to adult learners has allowed Balvinder to use multiple approaches and methodologies in the teaching and learning process. She holds a Diploma of Education which provided the experience to teach in Public schools and gave her the confidence to teach many levels of students. She has a Bachelor of Computer Science (System Computer) from the University of Putra Malaysia (UPM) which enables her to share knowledge related to technology in the field of ECE. Holding a Master of Education (Early Childhood Education) has helped her to understand the Early Childhood Education industry, issues and trends. Balvinder took the KAP (Kursus Awal Asuhan Kanak-Kanak) under Permata in 2015 to further understand the early years approaches. Past 10 years, Balvinder has been enthusiastically lecturing in Early Childhood Education at diploma and degree levels. She is currently pursuing her PhD in Early Childhood Education focusing on Sandplay Therapy for young children. Her research interests are the development of modules and tools using DDR methods, language and literacy in ECE Parents’ involvement in children’s learning and behaviours of young children and Play Therapy using sand/sensory. Recently, Balvinder has been involved as the internal moderator for the APEL Q for the Diploma in Early Childhood at HELP University.
