Associate Professor Dr. Jin Zhang

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jin Zhang holds a PhD in Information Technology from City University Malaysia and a Master’s degree in Computer Technology from Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics. He currently serves as Executive Dean of the School of Marxism at Nanchang Institute of Technology and as a Master’s Supervisor at HELP University, Malaysia. He is also recognised as a Category E High-Level Talent of Jiangxi Province. With more than two decades of experience in higher education, Associate Professor Zhang has developed extensive expertise in university teaching, applied information technology research, and postgraduate supervision.

His teaching and academic expertise encompasses Natural Language Processing, Deep Learning for Computer Vision, and Data Management. His research interests focus on artificial intelligence, machine learning, big data analytics, and intelligent information systems. He has published more than 40 academic papers and has led or participated in over 20 research projects. Under his supervision, student teams have achieved two National First Prizes and more than 20 provincial-level awards, reflecting his strong commitment to research-informed and practice-oriented education.

Assoc. Prof. Dr Zhang places particular emphasis on bridging artificial intelligence with real-world application scenarios. Through the integration of theoretical knowledge, practical projects, and industry-oriented applications, he aims to enhance students’ ability to address complex technological challenges and develop the professional competencies required for successful careers in the rapidly evolving digital and AI-driven economy.
