Amarjit Kaur
Amarjit Kaur is currently a Lecturer at the Faculty of Law and Government at HELP University. Amarjit’s academic journey began at the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, where she earned her LLB (Hons) degree in 2007. She continued her pursuit of legal knowledge by obtaining a Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) from LPQB, Malaysia, in 2008, before further enhancing his expertise with an LLM degree from the University of Malaya, Malaysia, in 2011.
Her professional journey spans from 2009 to 2024, during which she worked as an Advocate and Solicitor, refining her skills and accumulating invaluable experience in various legal firms. She specializes in conveyancing and general litigation, demonstrating a robust understanding of the complexities involved in these areas of law. Additionally, she made significant contributions while serving in the Attorney General’s Chamber in Putrajaya, Malaysia, where she held the role of legal officer in both the Drafting Department and the Insolvency Department. This role allowed her to engage with legal frameworks at a high level, further enhancing her expertise and understanding of legislative processes and insolvency issues. Through her diverse experiences, she has developed a well-rounded perspective on legal practice, making her a valuable asset to the legal community.
With her insightful legal experiences, Amarjit plays a vital role in shaping the academic journey of her students. Her extensive background in legal practice enriches her teaching, allowing her to provide real-world context and practical applications of legal theories. Amarjit’s teaching portfolio spans across both the HULLB and UKDTP programs, encompassing modules such as Probate Law, Corporate Law, Criminal Law and Land Law.
