HELP University’s Department of Education proudly hosted its Children’s Carnival on Friday, 28 March 2025, a vibrant and joyful event that brought together 64 young learners from Little Caliph Kindergarten and Little Leaders for a meaningful day filled with fun, creativity, and education.
This uplifting initiative, part of the Department’s commitment to community service and experiential learning, was thoughtfully organised by students enrolled in BECE1094, BECE3034, DECE1084, and DEDU1083. With guidance and encouragement from their lecturers, the undergraduate students planned and facilitated a wide range of enriching activities tailored to spark curiosity, creativity, and developmental growth in young children.

The carnival featured engaging stations such as arts and crafts using a variety of techniques, financial literacy games that introduced basic money concepts in a fun and accessible way, and interactive sticker books that encouraged storytelling and imagination. These hands-on experiences allowed children to not only enjoy themselves but also absorb valuable lessons in a playful, supportive environment.
The atmosphere was filled with laughter, excitement, and discovery as the children moved from one activity to the next, fully immersed in the joy of learning. Teachers from both kindergartens shared their appreciation for the well-organised event, noting how the activities complemented the children’s classroom learning while providing an exciting change of pace.

Heartfelt congratulations and appreciation go to Senior Lecturer, Ms. Elis Johannes, and her passionate team for their exceptional efforts in leading and coordinating the event. Their dedication, along with the students’ commitment and creativity, was instrumental in ensuring the success of the carnival. It was a wonderful showcase of how academic knowledge, when combined with enthusiasm and community spirit, can create lasting, positive impact.

The Children’s Carnival stands as a shining example of HELP University’s values in action—where service, education, and community engagement come together to make a difference. It also highlights the growing capabilities of our students as future educators and changemakers. We look forward to continuing this tradition of meaningful outreach and inspiring the next generation of learners through creativity, compassion, and collaboration.
