Starting off his career as an economist, Mr. Foo was also a senior project financing officer with a development bank, MIDF Bhd, and later worked as a banker and trainer with 5 commercial banks in succession: Pacific Bank, Alliance Bank, EON Bank, PhileoAllied Bank, Maybank, as well as the Institute of Bankers, for up to 23 years.

Mr. Foo also conducted a 3 day “Project Planning and Appraisal Workshop” for the Sarawak Economic Development Corporation, Kuching in August 2000. He also edited a Guide & Study Book: The Principles of Lending, in December 2005 for the Institute of Bankers.

At HELP University, Mr. Foo had co-facilitated the Strategic Management module in the MBA. He also facilitated candidates in Cambodia and Vietnam for this module, in collaboration with Australian partners, Charles Sturt University and Edith Cowan University. He also facilitated other Master modules including Small Business Management, Business Plan for New Ventures, Innovation Management, Global Business Strategy and Project Management Case Study. He also engages in curriculum development for Master courses.

In July 2010, Mr. Foo completed the Harvard Club’s Premier Business Management Program held in Malaysia. He also participated in the NKEA Labs with McKinsey consultants to assist the creation of the Government’s Economic Transformation Program, in the education sector.

Besides facilitating, Mr. Foo had been a project team member for developing corporate training programs with McDonald’s, DiGi, MSIG Insurance and Pembangunan Sumber Malaysia Bhd (agency of the Ministry of Human Resource).
