Senior Lecturer

Floy Yap
Versatile, adventurous, knowledgeable, talented are some of the keywords that people often use to describe this God-feared man who prefers to keep a low-profile of his achievements and life experiences obtained from setting foot in different parts of the world.
Despite majoring in Mass Communication and Psychology at university and starting his career in the traditional and new media industry from the United Stated of America to Asia, later he was able to transform himself into other industries such as banking and finance, research, training courseware development, event management, e-commerce, broadcasting, psychotherapy, just to name a few, by using many of his transferable skills.
With over 40 years of developing and accumulating diverse professional skills, knowledge, and resources from local, regional, to international profit to non-profit organizations, to managing government-link direct and indirect projects, once again he chose to further challenge himself. He decided to ride on his NYU MA degree to get involved in the” human engineering” profession – take on the role of a senior lecturer in the Faculty of Communication, Media and Creative Industries at a private university in Malaysia. He finds meaning and purpose in showing, sharing, coaching, guiding, advising, helping, and creating new horizons for and with his students.
