Dr Eugene Poon Wai Chuen

Dr Eugene Poon Wai Chuen brings over 15 years of experience in higher education, with a strong record in academic leadership, postgraduate education, research, curriculum development, and quality assurance. He has led undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, driven curriculum enhancement, managed accreditation and quality assurance exercises, and supervised Master’s and doctoral candidates.

He holds a PhD in Management from Multimedia University (MMU), where his research addressed organisational ambidexterity, entrepreneurship, and SME strategy. He also earned an MBA from MMU and a Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Hons) from Universiti Tenaga Nasional (UNITEN).

An active researcher, Dr Eugene has published widely in internationally recognised journals and secured competitive research grants. His interests span entrepreneurship, SME development, organisational strategy, management education, and digital transformation. He is committed to nurturing emerging researchers and fostering a collaborative research environment.
