fcmci's annual showcase

The Faculty of Communication, Media and Creative Industries (FCMCI) successfully hosted the third edition of the Shoot, Share, Showcase competition, bringing together aspiring filmmakers from secondary schools across the Klang Valley to celebrate creativity, storytelling, and cinematic talent.

The annual event provided students with the opportunity to screen their original short films before an audience while receiving valuable feedback from industry professionals and academics. More than just a competition, the showcase encouraged participants to exchange ideas, build connections, and gain greater appreciation for the art of filmmaking.

After an impressive lineup of creative entries, Sequoia International School emerged as the Best Overall Winner, taking home the RM1,000 grand prize for its touching short film exploring the enduring bond between a mother and son.

The event reflects HELP University’s commitment to nurturing creative talent and providing aspiring storytellers with platforms to showcase their work. Through initiatives like Shoot, Share, Showcase, FCMCI continues to inspire the next generation of media professionals while strengthening connections between schools and the creative industry.
