Dilys Yap Yi Lin
Tutor
I am Dilys, a psychology graduate and Graduate Tutor in the Department of Psychology at HELP. I completed my undergraduate studies with my thesis on job autonomy, work locus of control, and lying flat tendencies (“tang ping”), which sparked my interest in how sociocultural and structural factors shape people’s attitudes towards work and wellbeing.
Previously, as a peer tutor, I enjoyed teaching in an interactive manner and I value creating a supportive learning environment that encourages critical thinking and engagement. Moving forward, I am interested in pursuing my postgraduates and career in academia and research, with a particular focus on psychological research related to sociocultural psychology
