After their A-Level exams, siblings Neoh Yi Xing and Xiao Binn achieved greater success. Both earned JPA scholarships for studies at renowned UK universities. Yi Xing is studying natural sciences in neurobiology at Wolfson College, Cambridge University and Xiao Binn, who gained admission to Imperial College to study Civil Engineering, has just graduated with First Class Honours.
Yi Xing scored 3 A* (in Maths, Biology, Chemistry) and 1 A (in Physics) in the Edexcel A-Level examinations she studied for at the Department of A-levels at HELP Academy, and remarked that, “I am extremely grateful that I made the right choice to study at HELP”.
Neoh Xiao Binn had also excelled in his A-Levels at HELP in 2014, scoring 3 A* in Physics, Maths, Further Maths and A in Chemistry.

Teh Kuok Ren completed his A-Levels from 2013 to 2014 under HELP’s School Achiever Fee Waiver of RM 15,000 for his studies.
Melissa studied at SMK Damansara Jaya, Petaling Jaya, scoring 9A+s in SPM for Bahasa Melayu, Bahasa Inggeris, Mathematics, Additional Mathematics, Pendidikan Moral, Sejarah, Physics, Biology and Chemistry.
Taeyoung gained admission, after his A-Levels at HELP, to KAIST University, Korea, majoring in Computer Science, receiving a full Financial Assistance for his studies. Formerly known as the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, KAIST University –located in Daejeon- was South Korea’s first research-oriented science and engineering institution when it was founded in 1971. It is widely acknowledged as the best university in Korea and has been named the most innovative university in the Asia-Pacific region.
He had been offered admission with full Financial Assistance for his tertiary studies by the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and also offered admission by the University of Cambridge, Durham University, University of St Andrews and the University of Warwick but declined these in favour of KAIST.
Tae Young commenced his A-Levels studies at HELP Academy in July 2016 and was recipient of the HELP CEO Financial Assistance – and completed it in Jan 2018.
He achieved excellent A-Levels results with 5 As: 4 A*s in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics & Physics and A in Further Mathematics.
In 2018, Taeyoung received the Pearson Outstanding Learner Award for scoring the highest mark in the world for Physics.
With his excellent A Level’s results at HELP, Andrew gained admission to Cambridge University in England for his studies in engineering at Fitzwilliam College, graduating with 1st Class Honours in 2017.
Andrew studied for his A-Level’s at HELP Academy from 2013 to 2104 under HELP’s School Achiever Fee Waiver Award and scored 4A+s in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Further Mathematics.
He is from Petaling Jaya and studied at SMK Damansara Jaya, scoring scoring 9 A+s and 1A for his SPM in 2012.

With excellent A Levels results at HELP Academy, Jord gained admission to the University of Warrick in England for its unique, flagship MORSE programme, the ground-breaking 4-dimensional degree in Mathematics, Operational Research, Statistics and Economics, which integrates the study of pure mathematics and statistics with their applications to economics, finance and management, core skills required in modern business analytics.
Warrick is named by the Guardian University Guide, and The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide, in the league of Britain’s top ten universities; the MORSE programme is taught by subject specialists from the departments of Mathematics, Statistics, Economics and Warwick Business School..
Studied at HELP Academy from 2016 to 2017 for his A Level’s with the award of a HELP 90% School Achiever Fee Waiver and scored 2 A+s for Mathematics and Chemistry and 2 As for Further Mathematics and Physics.
After achieving his excellent A Levels results at HELP Academy, Teh Kai Zhi gained admission in 2018 to Oxford University in England for his studies in Engineering Science.
Kai Zhi studied at HELP Academy from 2016 to 2017 for his A Level’s under the HELP National Mathematics Marathon Champion’s Financial Assistance Award amounting to 80% of course fees. For his A Level’s, Kai Zhi scored 4 A*s, in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Further Mathematics.
Kai Zhi schooled at SMK Methodist Wesley, Kuala Lumpur, scoring 8 A+s and 3 As for his SPM in 2015.
Choi Junyeol, from Anseong-si city, South Korea, completed his high school and pre-university education in Malaysia. Junyeol completed his IGCSE at Garden International School, K Lumpur, scoring 10 As, then studied for his A-Levels at HELP Academy under full Financial Assistance for being the 1st prize winner of the Pre-University Mathematics Readiness Workshop. In 2019, he scored 2 A*s for Mathematics and Physics and 2 As for Chemistry and Further Mathematics for his Pearson Edexcel International June examinations, earning offers of admission for his tertiary education from 4 prestigious British universities:
but declined these in favour of returning home for university studies in Korea. He succeeded in gaining admission in 2020 into KAIST – widely acknowledged as Korea’s best university and named the most innovative university in the Asia-Pacific region – for studies in physics/natural science.
Junyeol said that 2 factors really stood out for his decision to join HELP. The MRT station was just next to the school, so, it was very convenient for his travel. Also, the counsellors and other staff members were very friendly and answered all his questions when he enquired about the course. They later, also helped him a lot during his university applications. Earlier, he was not very interested in Physics but thanks to his Physics lecturer, Mr.Lim, who evoked his curiosity and really made him fall in love with the subject, he came to find Physics very interesting.

His brothers, Sameer, scored A* for Biology and 2 As for Physics and Mathematics in 2015, and Shabir, scored 3 A*s for Chenistry, Biology and Mathematics, in 2019, fueling the pride of their parents. Kabir and his brothers were all recipients of the School Achiever Fee Waiver for their A-Levels studies.
Kabir, Sameer and Shabir had completed their high school education at the same school, SMK Bukit Bandaraya (Secondary School) in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur. He scored 10 As in 2012 for his SPM (Malaysian Certificate of Education) , as did his 2 bothers in 2013 and 2017.
Kabir successfully completed his MBBS exams at Perdana University-Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, (PU-RCSI), at Serdang, Selangor, graduating in July 2020 with 1st Class Hons. He received the Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam (JPA or Malaysian Public Service Department) scholarship for his studies.

To elevate his competence and expertise in banking, investment and finance, he is progressing to qualify as a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
As did his brothers before him, Shabir Singh Dhillon studied at the Department of A-Levels, HELP Academy for the Cambridge Assessment International Education GCE A-Levels examination, and achieved excellent grades.
He scored 3 A*s for Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics, in 2019. His brothers, Kabir had scored 4 A*s for Mathematics, Physics, Biology and Chemistry in 2014, and Sameer scored A* for Biology and 2 As for Physics and Mathematics in 2015. Shabir, as well as his 2 brothers, were recipients of the HELP School Achiever Fee Waiver for their A-Levels studies. HELP presented Shabir a certificate in recognition of his completing 70 hours of community service during his studies at HELP, actively contributing to alleviating the burden of the underprivileged. He was tutoring children, aged 8 to 12, as well as volunteering at a fundraising event for 4 children homes associated with the SASA programme.
Shabir, Kabir and Sameer had completed their high school education at the same school, SMK Bukit Bandaraya (Secondary School) in Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur. All three scored 10 As in the SPM, (Malaysian Certificate of Education): Shabir in 2017, Kabir in 2012, Sameer in 2013.
Shabir had earlier received unconditional offers of course admission from The University of Edinburgh and the University of Bristol for his planned studies in Computer Science. In September 2020, he decided on accepting the admission by University College London for his BSc in Computer Science degree, receiving a Sime Derby scholarship for his studies.
Wei Jean, with core competencies in auditing, financial services, product/social media marketing and business development, joined Deloitte’s in 2019 as a Mergers & Acquisitions Associate. Her passion is to spread awareness related to Gender Equality, and Women Empowerment, one of UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Through social media, she advocates against sexual harassment/assault, and rape, planning to eventually end the culture of misogyny and victim-blaming. Wei Jean is also a member of the Women’s Aid Organization (WAO).
Her previous roles and industry exposure include Project Coordinator with SEATech Ventures – international capital investment company, managing projects, resources, facilities and equipment, communication, IPOs and fundraising, and Corporate Finance Engineer with Greenpro Capital -global provider of professional services to emerging businesses and high net-worth individuals to capitalize value and maximize wealth, and on IPOs and mergers/acquisitions.
Wei Jean studied HELP University’s (HELP) BBus (Accounting) (Hons) programme, 2015-2017, under HELP bursary, then transferred to The University of Queensland (UQ), graduating in 2018 with UQ’s BComm (Accounting and Finance) (2nd Class Hons). She completed Foundation in Arts in 2015 at the HELP Matriculation Centre (HMC) under HELP CEO partial scholarship. She studied at SMK Aminuddin Baki, K. Lumpur, scoring 9 As for SPM in 2013.
She was active in extracurricular activities. At HMC, she was Vice President for the Leadership and Development Sphere and Chairperson of the Prom Committee. In Australia, she actively participated in activities of the Australia Malaysia Business Council, Queensland (AMBCQ) and Singapore Business Group (Australia) (SBG), and had organized SBG workshops for international students to advise them on employment in Australia.
