Dear Students and Parents,

Greetings to all of you!

From tomorrow onwards, 1st July, certain groups of students will be allowed back on campus. These are the 5 categories of students mentioned in the previous advisory dated 8th June 2020, and in the government circular, Appendix A.

Students in these 5 categories should contact their respective faculties to obtain permission to use the facilities, or to meet lecturers before coming in.

(A) Social Distancing

We have prepared our campuses and facilities to abide by the social distancing guidelines set by the Ministry of Education (MoE), and the Ministry of Health (MoH).

Furniture have been rearranged, facilities are regularly sanitized, and social distancing markers have been put in place.

There will be inspections by the ministries and we ask for your support to abide by the regulations and guidelines when you’re in campus.

We have attached the social distancing guidelines to this email for your reference. Please see Appendix B.

We have also made a video to welcome you back on campus and to remind you to practice social distancing. You may view the video at this link

(B) Student Activities

The MoE has drawn up the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for student activities in Higher Education Institutions. All student activities including clubs, societies, sports and co-curricular activities which are conducted face to face, or in groups, are not allowed until further notice. Students are encouraged to conduct their activities or meetings online.

(C) Library

All students can come to the library to borrow and return books. However, they are required to ask their respective faculties for approval to return to the campus. They should also email the librarian at if they need to renew or borrow books.

(D) COVID-19 cases at HELP University and HELP Academy

As of to date, there are no COVID-19 cases at HELP University and HELP Academy.

We shall continue to communicate with you on all relevant advisories from the MOHE, and we look forward to seeing you back on campus next week.

Stay safe, and healthy.

Best regards,

Professor Datuk Dr Paul Chan
Vice-Chancellor and President
