Dear Students and Parents,
We understand that the global outbreak of the COVID-19 virus is a concern to many of you. As such we want you to know that we have taken the necessary measures to address this issue. We are guided by the policies and advisories of various Ministries.
We would like to reassure you that as of today, there are no cases of COVID-19 patients that have been reported to us.
As an additional precaution, HELP University and HELP Academy are putting in place the following measures to safeguard the health of our students and staff.
All students will be on a study break from Tuesday 17 March 2020 until Saturday 21 March 2020. Online education support will be provided from 23 March 2020.
Online Teaching and Learning via Learning Management System (LMS)
Classes will resume on Monday 23 March 2020. Classes will be delivered in an online format from this day until Sunday 19 April 2020; replacing the face-to-face classes. Your academic department will notify you on matters regarding the online course contents or online classes. Please check your emails and the LMS for updates from your academic departments.

Closure of campuses
All HELP University and HELP Academy’s classes in Subang 2 and Damansara Heights will be closed from Monday 23 March 2020 until Sunday 19 April 2020. Essential student support services are still available and can be accessible online.
Examinations and Assessments
The Heads of the respective Academic Departments will advise students about all examinations and ongoing assessments.
Cancellation or postponement of on-campus events
All events on our campuses will be cancelled or postponed. We appreciate the many students who have put in a lot of effort in organizing these events. We shall have them at the appropriate time later.
March Intake and Orientation
The March intake will proceed, and orientation for new students will take place online. Your Academic Departments will advise you appropriately. Please check your emails regularly.
The requirement for all students to fill in the travel advisory that was mentioned in the circular dated Friday 13 March 2020, remains in place. Please fill in the travel advisory at the start of each term and after a long weekend. Here is the link to the travel advisory https://bit.ly/33cvMjo
Students who have just returned from overseas are still required to undergo a 14-day self-quarantine, as mentioned in the earlier circular dated Friday 6 March 2020.
Infection of COVID-19
If a student is infected with COVID-19, OR if he/she is required to be quarantined by the Ministry of Health, they must follow the Ministry of Health’s directives. It is important that the student must inform the relevant Academic Department.
There will be sufficient staff on our campuses to assist you if you need any help.
Emails and Announcements
Please check your emails regularly for updates regarding the COVID-19 situation at HELP. The announcements will also be posted on our website and LMS. http://university.help.edu.my/coronavirus/
I know that all these measures may be inconvenient. But they are necessary to protect the well-being of everyone. My colleagues are all totally committed to help you in your studies to ensure that you graduate successfully in time.
In this challenging time we need total support from everyone. We appreciate your understanding and patience and views.
We will continue to review our advice and policies in line with the latest guidance from the Ministry of Health, Malaysia, and we will keep you updated through emails, website, LMS and social media.
I would like to remind all of you again, of the importance of good hygiene, and to keep yourselves safe.
